Again, after 11 Bxc6+, Rainn's plan is to simply trade down and castle, which is another pretty basic plan. Moves 9 and 10 are logical moves that I think a 1200 can see. At higher levels, I think people tend to leave the bishop there after 8.Nf6, since it is not really trapped and can exchange/escape at any time. It is evident here that Rainn doesn't want to think too hard, so he just trades after thinking for 3-4 seconds. Black would have to invest moves in order to regain the trapped bishop. It is true that trading benefits the side that is ahead, but here there is no need to trade off the pesky bishop in Black's territory.

I would say move 8 is where there are signs that Rainn Wilson is not some FIDE master. Not much to say after move 7 when Rainn picks up the free rook. In other words, Rainn knows the 'cheese moves' in his opening. After Black plays 4.Nf6, I'm sure that Rainn is experienced enough in his opening to realize that the long diagonal is a common theme.
